Meet Our Bakers

Claire Dubois is our head baker and owner of L’amour Du Gâteau Bakery-Café. Inspired by French baking traditions and modern café culture, Claire and her sister, Louise, created the bakery as a welcoming space for their local community to enjoy handcrafted pastries, coffee, and seasonal desserts.

Her passion for baking began when she was just 13 years old and grew through years of experimenting with breads, cakes, and pastries inspired by classic French techniques she learned in France. Today, she focuses on creating high quality baked goods made with fresh ingredients and a thoughtful presentation.

Claire believes that bakeries should feel warm, comforting, and community-centered, bringing people together through food and conversation.

Louise Dubois is the sister and co-owner of L’amour Du Gâteau Bakery-Café. She was also inspired by the French baking traditions and modern café culture that she learned in France. Like her sister, Claire, Louise wanted to create a bakery as that is welcoming for the community to enjoy handmade pastries, coffee, and desserts.

Her passion for baking began through watching her sister, Claire, experiment with different pastries. Today, she focuses on helping her sister create high quality baked goods and focuses on making sure that the cafe is up and running to the best of it’s ability. 

Claire believes that bakeries should feel warm, inviting, and community-centered, bringing people together through food and conversation.
